MRS. Fisayo Ofili, head, national sales, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited, have called on employers of labour who have yet to embrace the new pension scheme to do so. She encouraged employers of labour to do so because it is stipulated under the law and also that it will guarantee secured retirement for their employees.  Ofili stated this at the Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers celebration of retirees in the federal capital territory, in a programme tagged ‘Retirees Forum.’
The interactive session with the Pension Fund administrator is aimed at celebrating retirees and also providing a conducive platform for them to share their total retirement experience as guaranteed under the PRA 2004.
“Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited offers quality services and is committed to providing a safe investment haven and a good retirement plan.” Mrs. Ofili noted.
Meanwhile, Eric Fajemisin, director of Stanbic IBTC Pension managers, said the forum was the pension administrator’s way of showing appreciation to the retirees and other stakeholders for their confidence in Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers. According to him, “we are passionate about caring for the future of our retirees and appreciating them when we have the opportunity to do so. It is also an opportunity for them to meet with former colleagues who they have not seen for many years after disengagement from active employment.”
This year, Stanbic IBTC Pension Mangers Ltd has appreciated retirees in Ibadan (for retirees in the South West), Kano (North West), Jos (North East), Enugu (South East), and most recently; Port Harcourt (South South) and it plans to fete Lagos retirees soon.
