Top rated Nollywood stars recently engaged by Globacom as brand ambassadors will be formally unveiled to the public on Thursday in Lagos. The unveiling of the ambassadors is a culmination of a rigorous selection process.
Among the Nollywood stars are Ramsey Nouah, Desmond Elliot, Jim Iyke, Mike Ezuruonye, Nonso Diobi, Nuhu Aliyu, Funke Akindele, Uche Jombo, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Monalisa Chinda-Dejo Richards, Kate Henshaw, Rita Dominic and Ini Edo-Phillip Ehiagwina.
According to Mr Mohammed Jameel, Globacom’s Group Chief Operating Officer, the selection of the ambassadors was done through a painstaking and rigorous process all in a bid to ensure that some of the best actors and actresses in the industry were chosen.
“We were guided by the need to get some of the very best who were also keen to be part of the excitement that the Glo brand has been offering in the telecoms market”, said Mr Jameel.
He added that the selection of the stars as brand ambassadors is a testimonial to the willingness of Globacom to always recognise the vast, shining talents that abound in Nigeria. He said the 13 Glo Nollywood ambassadors made up of six males and seven females are engaged for a two year period.
