THE Mercedes E-Class, comprising the Saloon and E-Coupe currently takes lead in the luxury vehicle market having recently been adjudged one of the best selling models in the upper range segment worldwide.
The E-Class Coupe and Saloon cars boast of a classic, elegant appearance and both have remained the epitome of safety, comfort and quality in the last three decades.
The E-class comes equipped with a PRE - SAFE system which can recognise critical driving situations in advance and then initiate preventive measures to protect the occupants. The interior is spacious with active multi-contour seat package which combines seating comfort with ergonomics, and sportiness. In addition to this, the E-class also comes with individual luxury seats that can be transformed into a lounge or rest area when required.
Individuality and variety are two of the most outstanding features of the E-Class with some standard specifications which have helped to further put the model a step ahead of others.
Some of its new standard features include the ‘Attention Assist’; a new drowsiness detection system that alerts the driver when attention begins to slip. This new system would come in handy during long haul trips. Another impressive feature is The Adaptive High Beam Assist which helps to recognize on-coming traffic and provides maximum road illumination in any given situation. The Proximity Control system is capable of performing automatic emergency braking when there is acute danger in the event of a collision.

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the first car in the world to be equipped with headlamps which adapt to traffic situations and respond automatically to avoid blind spots. The active bonnet is the latest development from Mercedes-Benz’ long-standing commitment to pedestrian protection. With a wide range of environmentally compatible engines, the E-class provides customers with a wide variety of options to choose from.
The E-Class offers a new technology that helps reduce fuel consumption and is displayed on the speedometer to inform the driver of how much fuel is being consumed per 100 kilometres, while reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to the lowest level.
Other standard features include airbags, belt tensioners, belt force limiters, NECK-PRO head restraints for the driver and front seat passengers.
